Sounds like the death of the manual transmission has been greatly exaggerated. Or anyway, it has been exaggerated for the early adopters of the new C7 Corvette. A whopping 38 percent of new Vettes ordered have been optioned with the 7-speed manual. How cool is that? Oh, and a whopping 75 percent have ordered the Z51 [...]

Folks, we have a new record for a Corvette: $3.2 million for this 1967 L88 Corvette Convertible, which sold this weekend at the Mecum auction in Dallas.
